Akufo-Addo Commissioned The Flower Pot Interchange in Accra

President Akufo-Addo has put the Flower Pot Interchange in Accra into service. The project aims to lessen traffic on the Tema Motorway’s north and south sections.

The Flower Pot Interchange is an asphaltic concrete-surfaced, dual-carriageway viaduct that is 802 meters long.

The viaduct is connected to Airport Hills by a 140-meter ramp from Shiashie, and it is connected to the road towards Tema by an 80-meter ramp.

At East Legon, a new road has been built through the old tunnel, and the area now has streetlights, traffic signals, and pedestrian walkways.

The flyover, which cost GH₵677,839,999.5 and was built by China Railway No. 5 Engineering Ghana Limited with consulting from Deoke Consult Ltd, was financed by the Afrexim Bank and the Ghanaian government.
